Mr. Thabo Letho
Flavius Mareka remains one of the TVET Colleges charged with the responsibility of assisting in the production of sufficiently skilled manpower which should immensely contribute positively in transforming the economy of households, communities and the larger society.
2018 goes by with an acceptable level of contribution having been registered in that direction, amidst all forms of challenges some of which are yet to be addressed.
Strides made could not have been possible without partnerships with other government Departments, SETAs, business, industry, other Colleges, and private training institutions with which the college trained and placed students to integrate theory with practice as expected.
Most importantly, the cooperation of students, most of whom successfully completed their training, and their commitment complemented efforts made to ensure that training for the foregoing purpose is increasingly enhanced.
As we welcome 2019, management of the college makes an appeal to Flavius Mareka TVET College Community members to re-affirm their unwavering support to the course of action drawn from the Strategic Objective to which The Department of Higher Education and Training has committed itself and The vision 2030.
Increased improvement of graduation rates and production of artisans in particular are high in the list of outcomes to be attained.
Both the returning and newly enrolled students, in various programmes, are requested to feel at home and immediately begin to align choices of programmes with their priorities in terms of their career paths so that no time can be wasted to establish certainty and finalization of registrations.
Students and staff are assured of enhanced support for their welfare and productive engagements aimed at fulfilling dreams of individual students in particular so that they can embrace their future.
